Whitley Bay has been established as a party town for over 20 years. It still remains a popular destination for Stag & Hen Parties every weekend throughout the year.
The Pubs and clubs are centralised in one area, most of them being on South Parade. This means that you can just go from bar to bar without having to walk far.
The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, typical of the North East, the locals are friendly and are use to people comming in from all over the country.

Unlike many towns and cities, single sex groups are welcome at all bars. The pubs all belong to a pubwatch scheme in association with the police and all door men are radio linked which ensures that Whitley Bay is a safe and enjoyable town in which to party.
Many people have said that the atmosphere out and around in the bars is like that you get if you go to places like Ibiza. The weather may not be the same, but the nightlife's great!
